Definition:
Removal of urethral and / or periurethral tissues linked to exuberant scar tissue or any injury or tissue of any genesis that compromises the function or morphology of the urethra.
Indications:
The procedure is most often proposed in the interval between the 1st and 2nd time of a staged urethroplasty, when it may be necessary to perform surgical procedures for the revisions of urethral stoma and urethral linings due to the formation of scar tissue, granulomas, hairs.
Technical Description:
Such interventions are performed in loco-regional or general anesthesia or under sedation.
